Prepare glass with milk or water. Add ice cubes if you prefer.

Clean portafilter with a dry cloth making sure no old coffee grounds are left.

Grind 18 grams of coffee on the espresso setting (1 on the 1-5 scale). Or the dose that you prefer for your own recipe.

Step 4

Make an even bed by gently knocking the side of the portafilter with your hand. Do not use your tamper to do this as it will dent both your portafilter and tamper. Firmly tamp the coffee.

Step 5

Insert portafilter and ensure it is seated tightly in the grouphead. Pull the espresso to the target weight. We recommend a ratio of 1:2 (e.g. 18g grounds = 36g yield espresso). Aim for extraction time between 25-30 seconds.

Add your espresso to the glass of milk or water. Enjoy!
